What are the domestic and international calling facilities in Canada?

Since 1980 there are now a number of telecommunication providers who offer services across the provinces. Each province has different regulations and therefore services and providers differ. These service providers offer competitive packages and services across the country, a few operating nationally and the majority operating provincially.

There are many public telephone booths available in towns and shopping centers. Local calls require 50 cents per call while international calls require more.

Wi-Fi access is widely available in major urban areas across Canada. Most of the hotels, caf├ęs, airports and even kids indoor play areas offer Wi-Fi access.

There is also a wide range of calling cards available that offer cheaper rates.
